    An articulating crane operator is responsible for operating articulated cranes, also known as knuckle-boom cranes, to lift, move, and position heavy loads in various industries such as construction, forestry, shipping, and material handling.

  • Typical Salary Range:

    Typical entry level positions start at $40,000 per year while the most skilled and experienced operators can make more than $100,000 per year.*

  • Typical Duties/Responsibilities:

    Duties include following safety protocols, inspecting equipment, and coordinating lifts with ground crews to ensure efficient and accident-free operations.

  • Typical Experience/Training:

    At least 18 Years Old. Typically receives training and hands-on experience prior to taking a required certification exam. Typically has previous experience and/or knowledge as rigger and signalperson. Usually has or obtains a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Certification for articulating boom crane or articulating boom loader required.
