    A digger derrick operator is responsible for operating a specialized truck-mounted machine equipped with a crane and an auger used in construction, utility maintenance, and other industries.

  • Typical Duties/Responsibilities:

    Setting up and preparing the concrete pump for operation, positioning the pump truck in a safe and optimal location, and controlling the flow and distribution of concrete through the pump's system using remote controls. They may also be responsible for maintaining and servicing the concrete pumping equipment to ensure its optimal performance and reliability on construction sites.

  • Typical Experience/Training:

    At least 18 Years Old. Typically receives training and hands-on experience prior to taking a required certification exam. Usually has or obtains a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Certification for concrete pump operator required.
