Typical Duties/Responsibilities:
Planning and scheduling lifting activities, conducting site assessments to identify potential hazards and obstacles, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. Lift directors also collaborate with project managers, crane operators, riggers, and other personnel to develop lift plans, establish communication protocols, and implement safety procedures to mitigate risks and ensure the safe and efficient execution of lifting operations. Additionally, they may provide supervision, training, and guidance to crane operators and rigging crews to maintain high safety standards and achieve project objectives.

Typical Experience/Training:
At least 18 Years Old. Typically receives training and hands-on experience prior to taking a required certification exam. Typically has previous experience and certifications related to various crane roles such as mobile crane operator, tower operator, rigger, and signalperson. Certification for lift director required.
